First Health Network
The Trustees are pleased to announce that the Welfare Fund is now able to offer an expanded network of medical providers through its Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), MagnaCare and their partnership with First Health. If you live outside of New York and New Jersey, you will be able to obtain medical services at our in-network benefit.

You will receive a new MagnaCare card with the First Health affiliated local network logo. Please continue to use your NY/NJ MagnaCare for doctors in your home Geo Area.

Your health service procedures and co-pays are basically the same as in the NY/NJ Bi-State area. All you need to do is present your card to your local network provider (doctor or surgeon) and at the time of your visit, pay a co-pay of $10.00 for a general medical doctor, specialist and laboratory. There is no co-pay for radiological testing. There is no other out-of-pocket expense when using an in-network provider.

Your new MagnaCare PPO card with your local area logo entitles you to tremendous savings but only if used at a network provider in your geographic (state) area. Since network doctors are constantly changing, new ones come on, old ones may leave, please call for updated information. In order to check if a doctor or lab is a network provider call the First Health NetworkTM toll free telephone number, 1-800-226-5116, or use the Website www.myfirsthealth.com then click on First Health Network where you can get up to date information or call your Fund Offcie.

In addition to living outside the NY/NJ Area, such as in PA or CT, you can request a new First Health Network MagnaCare out of state card for family members, wife or children living in another state. Also, if you live in NY/NJ on the border of PA or CT you can request a card for those states.
